International Human Rights Day CAHRAD urges the Cambodian government to fully respect human rights
On this 65th Anniversary of the International Human Rights Day, December 10, 2013, the Cambodian Americans for Human Rights and Democracy (CAHRAD) joins people around the world in the celebration of this auspicious day and also to mourn many countless people who were fallen for the defense of these sacred rights that they are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice.
CAHRAD is grateful to President Barack Obama who had expressed concerns over the grave human rights situation in Cambodia during his historical making-trip on November 19, 2012. He reminded people that the poor human rights records in Cambodia were the impediments to good relations with the United States. But since then there was no positive response from the Cambodian Government.

On this International Day of Democracy, September 15, 2013, Cambodian Americans for Human Rights and Democracy (CAHRAD) strongly endorses the request for investigations into the election in Cambodia held on July 28, 2013.
As the world celebrates democracy as the road to peace and prosperity for all nations, CAHRAD asks the international community to join in this endorsement to insure a genuine transition to democracy in Cambodia, a nation whose people have suffered decades of unspeakable violence and continuing political repression.
