You and your friends are invited to a peaceful demonstration during the Cambodia Foreign Minister Hor Namhong visits the U.S. Department of State, Washington, DC, on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. The Khmer People Network for Cambodia (KPNC) and the Cambodian Americans for Human Rights and Democracy (CAHRAD) will join with other groups in the peaceful demonstration which will be held in front of the US Department of State from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm Eastern Time.

Cambodian Americans Condemn the Killing of Mr. Chut Wuthy

We, Cambodian Americans, are very saddened to learn today that one of the prominent activists protecting illegal deforestation in Cambodia was shot to death while he was visiting the site.

We, Cambodian Americans, condemn the killing of Mr. Chut Wuthy on April 26, 2012, and requesting that the Cambodian government launch a prompt investigation without delay in order to bring the perpetrators, and the real killers to justice, otherwise the Cambodian people will lose their confidence with the government even further.
